My Book: Letters to a Benevolent God

By the grace of God, I have written a book.

This wild, uncouth, analytical, cynical, sexual, spiritual, rebellious, high speed, dramatic, critical soul of mine has managed to successfully pin down a small portion of my thoughts to white parchment, and self-publish a unique anthology of rage. righteousness, sexuality, pain, and redemption.

This creation was birthed from the darkest and most obscure depths of my being and required an astonishing degree of courage and self-honesty. 

I have spent over a year of my life writing this manuscript, and I can hardly believe that it is complete.

I want nothing more than to yodel and screech from the white sandstone tower located at city hall, for I have done it.

To finish and publish Letters to a Benevolent God has been the highlight of my prayers and my most urgent request, and to have witnessed such a longed for event actually come to fruition has been nothing short of a miracle.   

I am so humbled, as the writing process has taught me an infinite amount of lessons that will never be forgotten.

A controversial and bold collection of letters addressed to God Himself, riveting one-of-a-kind piece of literature challenges all that we know of God, organized religion, faith, and freedom as I, the author, struggle to find the best way to soothe and appease my soul.

This text approaches subjects pertaining to sexuality, depression, self-harm, religion, femininity, child abuse, and spiritual awakenings, as they relate to inner growth and one's personal relationship with God.

This book shuns and rewrites what is commonly held to be the "proper" approach to developing faith and closeness to God. 

Some would call the sentiments expressed within this manuscript a dramatic, far-fetched, overly modern and esoteric interpretation of Quranic wisdom, or perhaps an audaciously atrocious rewrite of the Gospel, or maybe a much needed reclamation of and integration of the pagan roots we all share, and some may simply view it as spiritual smut, but regardless of how each individual would choose to describe this book, one thing is certain: the words etched into its pages are unlike anything that has ever been shared and published for a large audience.
